International students

Heythrop College is a unique and fascinating place to study. The only specialist college of Philosophy and Theology in the UK, you will benefit from expert teaching from leading academics in their field, in an environment shaped by 400 years of academic excellence.

We have a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and currently have students from over 35 different countries.

With just under 1,000 students we are a close-knit community and take an individual approach to teaching and supporting students. Regular one-to-one tutorials are commonplace and a range of support services is in place to ensure you reach your potential including study skills, pastoral care and support with learning differences. This support is facilitated through our Personal Tutor system where you will be allocated a member of academic staff with whom you can meet regularly to discuss your progress and any issues you may need extra support with.

As a college of a much larger University, you will have access to a wealth of cultural, academic, social and sporting opportunities as you will also be a member of the 120,000-strong University of London student body, in addition to the numerous activities, events and societies organised by our own Heythrop Student Union.

Guide to faster travel through the UK border this Christmas

This December, based on feedback from port operators and carriers, Border Force has developed a new GOV.uk web page explicitly designed to inform, educate and prepare passengers for their arrival at the UK border. To aid this, we have produced a suite of Christmas themed collateral as part of our Border Force Christmas Travel Partner Pack.
The page informs travellers of their options, such as:

•    whether the EU/UK or Non-EU lane is right for them
•    if they are eligible to use ePassport gates at airports
•    what they need to have ready and to hand prior to their identity inspection
•    how non-EU travellers can become Registered Traveller members to make their UK border experience faster.
