RAE 2008 Submission

Heythrop College entered the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) for the first time in 2008. The development of research was at an early stage, e.g. the College had only become eligible to apply for AHRC research funding when it entered HEFCE in 2006. An inclusive policy, to enter as many staff as were eligible, was adopted.

In the event, over 50% of staff research was judged to be of international significance, and the panels recognised the direction and potential of future developments in research environment.
