Part-Time Undergraduate Study
As in many other universities, the majority of undergraduate degree students attending courses at Heythrop are full-time. If you have other commitments - for example to work or family - there is also a part-time option.
There are two ways to take a Heythrop first degree part-time:
All of Heythrop’s first degree programmes are available to part-time students. If you become a part-time student, you will study alongside full-timers in module classes. Often, both full- and part-timers find the mix beneficial and stimulating. Normally part-time study for a degree takes six years.
If you are interested in a Theology degree, distance learning may offer an even more flexible part-time study route. Distance learning programmes, are part of the University of London International Programmes – the world’s longest-established distance learning scheme. They are designed and assessed by Heythrop staff. They allow considerable flexibility in how long you spend completing your degree. A higher proportion of assessment is by final examination.
