BA Theology
How will I learn?
Each module is taught by a two-hour session once a week over two 11-week terms, or one term in the case of 15-credit modules. Lectures, presentations and seminars are interactive in format, often including students from other programmes who bring different perspectives to the debate. The language modules involve more class hours. Directed reading and other tasks guide independent learning is a vital part of your learning, which is the largest element in your study time. Additionally, you will have regular tutorials, normally on a one-to-one basis, to discuss work completed or in progress, and meetings with a supervisor in relation to the dissertation.
How will I be assessed?
Each module is assessed by a combination of coursework tasks completed during or shortly after the period of module teaching, and an end-of-year essay or examination.
