Teaching and Assessment

BA Study of Religions

How will I learn?

Each module is taught by a two-hour session once a week over two 11-week terms, or one term in the case of half-modules. Lectures, presentations and seminars are interactive with students. Directed reading and other tasks guide independent learning, which is a vital part of your learning, and the largest element of your learning time. Additionally, you will have regular tutorials, normally on a one-to-one basis, to discuss work completed or in progress, and meetings with a supervisor in relation to the dissertation.

How will I be assessed?

Each module is assessed by a combination of coursework tasks completed during or shortly after the period of module teaching, and an end-of-year essay or examination.
