How will I learn?
There is a two-hour session for each whole module once a week over two 11-week terms, or one term in the case of half-modules. These are group sessions - typically lectures and presentations and seminars or language classes - which are interactive with students. Much of your learning comes from directed reading and other tasks, in preparation for and following on from classes, which guide your independent learning. Additionally, you will have regular tutorials, normally on a one-to-one basis, to discuss work completed or in progress, and meetings with a supervisor in relation to the dissertation.
How will I be assessed?
Each module is assessed by a combination of coursework tasks completed during or shortly after the period of module teaching, and an end-of-year essay or examination.
