MA Christianity and Interreligious Relations

How will I learn?

Two-hour weekly seminars for each module are designed to address questions raised by the phenomenon of religious plurality in the modern world. Directed reading to prepare for and follow-up from the weekly sessions is an essential input to your learning. The assignments also direct your individual reading and thinking.

The College provides opportunities for more in-depth study through the activities of the Centre for Christianity and Interreligious Dialogue.

How much time will it take?

You will attend for classes for two hours a week for each module you take (normally two evenings a week in term-time for full-time students, and one evening for part-timers). Reading and preparation for the classes should take you at least a further six hours a week per module in term-time. Researching, planning and writing your essays or presentations is additional to this. You will attend for tutorials associated with your essays, and for two meetings with your dissertation supervisor.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by a combination of coursework tasks completed during or shortly after the period of module teaching and an end of year essay for each module. You also complete a 12,000 to 15,000 word dissertation on a research topic agreed with your supervisor.
