Why choose this course?
The MA in Christian Spirituality is an opportunity to examine the spiritual traditions of Christianity, in their historical and contemporary forms, and to develop the ability to understand and evaluate the language, ideas and forms of Christian spirituality. The focus is on Christianity in its Western development.
This MA is likely to interest those in ministry and teachers of religious education, but also people in business, and those whose professional life or vocational work involves religious questions.
What could I go on to do?
The degree compliments vocational qualifications and experience. It broadens opportunities in Christian ministry, writing and teaching. It develops personal study.
The degree is a good foundation for further research, at Heythrop or elsewhere, and may also contribute to other research areas which involve historical or literary textual work.
