Once you have applied and received an offer from Heythrop you are invited to apply for accommodation from mid-April, regardless of whether we are your firm or insurance choice. Offers of places in halls will start being made in early July each year. Application forms and more information about the process are available below.

Where you live (and who you live with) is a huge part of the university experience and you should give some thought to what will suit you best. There are on- and off-site options to think about and this guide will help you
with your decision.

Rooms still available for 2013/14

The Alban Hall of Residence has a small number of rooms available now for full-time students, or full time visiting/Erasmus students.  If you wish to apply for a room now please contact Campus Services via email on

Years 2 and 3

Most second and third year students rent shared, private-sector accommodation. For some students flat hunting can be a daunting idea at first, so many take advantage of the housing advice the University provides.

The University of London Housing Service is a fantastic resource and free to use for all students. They publish housing guides and offer advice to students, with the help of an extremely qualified legal team. We do expect a small number of returning students to reapply for University
accommodation, and they are invited to do so each year during February.
Please Note: late applicants may be placed in twin rooms. This applies to both the Alban Hall and Intercollegiate Halls.

Please also note that car parking on campus is very restricted and students are not eligible to park. Cars can be expensive and impractical when living in the middle of the city and students are advised to consider the practicalities of bringing a car to London.

Additional Requirements

If due to a medical condition, disability or other circumstance you require a
particular type of room, please contact us and provide documentary evidence from an appropriate professional (GP/Consultant) before the 1st July.
