Erasmus

Heythrop College is a full member of the European Union’s ERASMUS mobility programme, and welcomes applications from its own students to study abroad at one of its partner institutions (see link below for list of partner institutions and available subjects), from students from partner institutions in the European Union and other participating countries, and from staff who wish to participate in the ERASMUS scheme.

The ERASMUS scheme provides financial support to help students from participating countries to experience living and studying in another culture and gaining credit towards their degree, making friends and contacts, while still having support from staff at their home institution.

The ERASMUS scheme commenced in 1987 and was designed to increase student mobility within the members of the European Community, as it stood at that time. It has subsequently expanded to include mobility for students with the European Economic Area and with Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania.
