The Evangelii Gaudium Effect: New Directions for Mission today

Keynote speaker: Rev Dr Stephen Bevans SVD

Stephen Bevans is a highly regarded and influential Catholic thinker on Mission. He is Professor of Mission and Culture at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. He is a Roman Catholic priest in the Society of the Divine Word, and served for nine years (1972-1981) as a missionary in the Philippines.

His publications include: Models of Contextual Theology (2002), Constants in Context: A Theology of Mission for Today (2004, with Roger Schroeder), Prophetic Dialogue (2012, with Roger Schroeder).

The day will be facilitated by Rev Dr Dominic Robinson SJ

Panel discussion participants: Bishop Patrick Lynch SS CC, Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ, Mgr Canon James Cronin (National Director, Missio), Fr Anthony Chantry MHM (Mill Hill General Superior), Fr Michael Holman SJ (Principal of Heythrop College)

Mass will be celebrated in the college chapel at 9.30. All are welcome!
