This session will consider end-of-life issues from a canonical and moral-theological perspective, reflecting on various concerns relating to Religious such as ‘advance directives’ and honouring expressed wishes.
Helen Costigane is a member of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and teaches Canon Law and Christian Ethics at Heythrop College. She is the Convenor of the MA in Canon Law and has taught a range of courses including Business Ethics, Catholic Social Teaching, The Witness of Christian Marriage, and Ethics in Ministry, and also contributes to study days at the Mount Street Jesuit Centre. As well as being an ecclesiastical judge, she also acts as canonical consultant to individuals and religious congregations.
