The location of items in the Library is shown in the Catalogue by Location and Classmark

The Philosophy Library is on the first floor of the main campus building.

The Theology Library is across the garden by the tennis courts

Periodicals are in the stacks on the ground floor of the Theology Library. Periodicals with the classmarks AP2 or AP3 are in the Depository Library at Egham (see below).

The location “Egham Store” means that the item is stored at the University Depository Library at Egham. These items have to be ordered and normally take several days to arrive. Please see a member of the Library staff if you need to consult one of these items.

Restricted items are not on open access and special conditions may apply. Please see the Librarian if you wish to consult a restricted item.

The classification scheme used in the Library is largely that of the Library of Congress. Some classes (BQ, BT, and BX) are taken from a special scheme for Roman Catholic Libraries.
