Biography
Usual Jesuit studies in philosophy ( Heythrop College, London, 1975-77) and theology ( Centre Sèvres, Paris, 1985-88); Literae Humaniores, Oxford, 1977-81; Dip. Ed., Glasgow, 1981-82; MTh. in patristic theology, Heythrop, 1988-89; doctoral studies in ancient philosophy, King's College, London, 1991-95, dissertation: Plotinus' correction of some Gnostic misunderstandings of his theory of Intellect.
Assistant teacher of Latin and Greek, St. Ignatius' College, Enfield, 1982-85; St. Aloysius' College, Glasgow, 1989-91.
